Principle of Operation
The FloLevel™ Array transducers emit extremely high powered acoustic sound pulses independently, into a liquid/slurry solution at low audible levels. The pulse amplitude power is great enough to cause a phenomenon called “rarefaction” which causes cavitation to be produced from the Array transducers diaphragms, as they pulse. The cavitation bubbles oscillate in front of the diaphragm, which cause implosions that generate high energy levels. This energy level (Ultrasonic Cleaning) is sufficient to DISSOLVE soluble material and DISPLACE non-soluble particles from the Array transducers, providing a self-cleaning solution for the insitu transducers. Ultrasonic signal transmission in a liquid/slurry is generally very efficient. By pulsing each transducer independently (sender) and sequentially, towards its corresponding receiver, in the opposite Array, we are able to detect density variations in the liquid/slurry solution, liquid to paste and liquid to Granulated solids in a slurry. By tracking this interface, we are able to provide an analog output, corresponding to this Interface position.
The FloLevel™ Array is suitable for most liquid/slurry solutions where an interface of up to two densities exists, that needs to be monitored continuously. Where scaling and build-up are issues for instrumentation, installed in the liquid/slurry solution, eg: Brine, Gangue Mining Slurries.
